I thought I would try a card game, but still code something that would work in a timed game. Only until I actually finished the game did I realize it’s fairly hard to get a score above 25! lol. oh well.
It’s fun writing these small’ish games. I’ve made quite alot of improvements to my game framework the past few weeks. I didn’t expect any of these games to be played that much, but to my surprise, several games are getting quite alot of plays. So if you’re one of the peeps enjoying these games, thank you for your support I appreciate it!
July is all about 60 second games. The goal is to develop ten 60 second skill games in the month of July. That’s about 1 game every 3 days. So far I have Orbis60, Race60, ButterFlyClix60, TypeRocket60, FindTheNerd60, Solitaire60 finished.
As of this blog post I’m still on schedule!

Ok..ok..ok.. I’ll be the first to admit this is probably the weakest game (so far) in my self proclaimed “July is the month of 60 second games” series. But..it still is a game
and for some wacky reason my wife, daughter and visiting niece all liked the game. I think women in general just love “hogs” anyway. (Hidden object games)
lol..
So…why all the 60 second games?
The whole point of doing all these 60 second games is to allow me to ramp up, come to grips, tweak, debug, etc, etc, my new game framework and then eventually start working on larger projects. But I have to admit, I’m having fun writing these little apps.

I was running out of time thinking of ideas for the next 60 second skill game to code, so I decided to do something fairly easy, and code up a quick typing game. I also found out from this game that while I can type fairly fast when writing words, for some reason I am very bad at this game. lol..

I’m very happy how ButterFlyClix60 turned out! Thanks to some reusable code and media, I was able to get this game done fairly quickly. I like how this turned out so well that I’m planning to make a more elaborate sequel in the future.
