Blockies Breakout is our new casual friendly breakout / arkanoid game. I always wanted to code a simple breakout type game. The retro breakout bonus game I coded in PixelBlast was well recieved so I wanted to expand on that. I also wanted to tie the game to our popular matching game Blockies, so I used the characters from that game.
I’m very happy how this game came out. The game has 30 levels, 5 bonus rounds and several powerups (and powerdowns) to collect through out the game. The game took around 1 week to develop, most of the code was already done so it was just a matter of tweaking some code. 
I plan on releasing several level pack editions for this game, where each level pack will introduce new game features along with the new levels.
I released the game on Newgrounds where I was pleasently surprised to see it come in 5th place (minus the movies) for the day.
